Professional Silicone Mold Making
& Small-Batch Resin Casting
With more than three decades of experience serving museums, government agencies, and commercial production, I now provide these professional silicone mold making and resin casting services to artists and institutions looking to produce statues, displays, figures, and garage kits.
Services
Silicone Mold Making
Original sculptures or artifacts are carefully prepared for silicone molding to ensure clean detail capture and production suitability. Rigid fiberglass support jackets are constructed where required to provide stability and maintain registration during casting.
Small Batch Casting
Professional-grade polyurethane resins or modified gypsum materials are used to reproduce work in exacting detail. Typical client runs range from 25–100 pieces, with larger works produced in smaller quantities and smaller components cast in runs of several hundred.
Finishing Details and Painting
Casts are supplied as:
– Pre-Primed: Optimized for maximum paint adhesion. Primed parts are supplied as either “ready for finishing” or “paint ready”.
-Pre-Tinted: Colour match pigments are used with special resins to create solid coloured parts.
– Fully Finished: Metallic finishes that closely recreate the look of foundry cast metals. Stone, Wood and Full Color options may be available subject to project scope as these are time-intensive finishes.
